Testing Systems and Testing Equipment:

Primon Automazioni designs and build testing and calibration systems. These testing lines can be integrated into assembly systems, stand alone systems for automatic testing, or manual test benches.  Among the products offered by Primon Automazioni are the programmable stands or benches with interchangeable equipment to allow for testing of various configurations of products for: :

  • Leak Testing

  • Pressure Decay Testing

  • High Pressure Testing

  • Thermostatic Valve Testing and Calibration

  • Seal Testing

  • Torque Testing

  • Flow Testing

  • Pressure testing with air or water

  • Leak testing with air or water

  • Visual Inspection / camera systems

Leak Testing System:
Leak testing can be performed with air or water at either high or low pressures. Leak testing can also be performed with vacuum. An common example of testing with air pressure is a test procedure called "pressure decay" testing. In a pressure decay test, the component being testing is filled to a predefined pressure based on the standard being met. The inlet of air is blocked off once the proper pressure has been reached and is then monitored for a decay or decrease of air pressure, indicating a failure. Naturally, your testing standards may contain a permissible pressure loss depending upon the component being tested. Conversely, a vacuum test would be used to monitor for an increase in pressure. Leak testing with air is a preferred testing procedure when you do not wish to have a residue from the test procedure (such as water left inside a valve). Air is generally only used for testing smaller volume components up to 1000kPa, or about 150 psi.

High Pressure Testing System:
High pressure testing is used for inspection of components that are usually going to be used under high pressure or stress. Oil or water can be used to increase the internal pressure to verify a safety margin of operation for items such as oil field valves. High pressure testing can also be used for determining the actual "burst pressure" of a component, such as a pressure test for a hose.

Flow Testing System:
Water or air can be used for flow testing. An air flow test can be used to determine that an internal passage is open in a casting, or that a valve passed a certain volume when open. Flow testing with water can be combined with calibration as with a thermostatic valve for a bath or shower.

Torque Testing System:
Torque testing is often performed during the screwing or tightening process, to affix a part or component at a predetermined, programmed value of torque. However, it is often required to check the torque or force required to move an object within an assembled item, such as to check the torque required to rotate a valve.

Vision System:
The vision systems are used for robot-guide, identification of part orientation and  dimensional checks.  The vision system cards and the management software are dedicated but allow at the real- time utilization and programming because they are implemented on Windows platform. The selection and development of the programs are nearly exclusively carried out with the aid of the mouse, and require no specific programming knowledge base for operator utilization.
