 The
Satellite vertical axis transfer machines with hanging rotating
table are particularly suitable for machining work-pieces that need more
operations on 3 ways, such as water meter housings, and are available with 4
up to 12 stations with 3 or more units per station.They allow an optimal accessibility and visibility for tool changing
procedure and permit therefore a set-up time of only 40 - 90 minutes,
cleaning of the machine excluded.
The machine basement is well dimensioned and made of welded steel plates,
stabilized by annealing, and the indexing table features 3 Hirth front gears
which allow high precision positioning.
The machining units are completely CN controlled and the feed drive can be
hydraulic by means of proportional solenoid valve or with balls
recirculation screw.
The work-piece locking devices are hydraulically controlled self centering
2-jaws chucks, which are mounted on the indexing table and have adjustable
closing pressure and stroke.
